You know those moments of awkward silence where everybody stares around/hums to themselves, trying to find a topic of conversation?

Yeah, I hate those moments.

And I've been having those quite a bit these past few days. Especially today at aunty's place. I haven't seen her for god knows how many years, so I'd actually forgotten a lot about those childhood times, whereas we don't know much about what's happening to each other nowadays.

This translates to? Awkwardness!

That aside, I'm still glad I went to find her. Goodness knows when'll be the next time I see her...Maybe I should make another visit before I leave. I don't want to regret losing the opportunity.

Seize life when you can.

Appreciate what you have and don't let go of them easily!


Percy Jackson and the Lightning Thief at 2/17/2010 11:36:00 PM

Finally a movie I enjoy watching!

The story's pretty plain, typical fantasy/mythology kind of thing. It's about this regular teenager with a rather sad life, who finds out that he's actually a demi-god: THE son of Greek god Poseidon who guards the seas or something. Powerful water creature, which you'll be able to see later on in the movie.



SO yeah, he's accused of stealing lightning from Zeus, so now it's his mission to get that lightning rod back. All through the journey, there're little jokes here and there, making this a really good, hilarious watch.

This may be from the director of the first 2 Harry Potter movies, but it's better than those movies. Funny, endearing, and i heart Perseus aka Percy Jackson. ^^ Much more manly than Daniel Radcliffe.

Watch this just for a good time in the cinema. Oh and there're special effects as usual. Most important is that all the main characters are likeable. =)

Being home is a relief. For once, I felt joyous to see the plane touch down at the airport, to doze off at the car ride back home, to soak in all the sights of Penang. The last few times I came home, I always felt a tad bit reluctant, that anti-change syndrome I'm afflicted with. But this time, it feels right. Maybe because it's Chinese New Year!!

INTI life is tiring, to say the least. Putting that behind me, even for a short while, is appealing. So, here's a toast to Penang! Nineteen years of housing me, sheltering me, giving me joy.

Just finished my Calculus test, time for some much-needed relaxing. BUT, not in the mood cuz of the insanely difficult question..especially the last question. gahhh...

anywayss on a happier note, I got into Iowa =) this uni's so efficient i love it so much.



Life's back on track now I suppose. Chinese New Year coming soon! Woohoo~ Time for:

好久没打华文了，趁华人新年期间写一写，不然真的会忘了怎么写哦。

刚刚去华文学会用大楷笔写祝贺语，好难看啦。 记得三年级时沈老师每个星期都会交我们写中楷呀，大楷呀，而且还顶严的。现在我都忘了啦。。。

最近脑子里想很多是是非非，也不懂为什。好讨厌自己总爱这样胡思乱想，把自己当作是小说家的编故事。

是该停止生活在自己的世界。

去面对任何事件。

要勇敢。给自己加油！
